The heart behind the foundation, and why the work continues.
The Jahan Ara Vakani Foundation was established in March 2018 following the passing of Jahan Ara Vakani رَحِمَهَا ٱللَّٰهُ after a long battle with cancer.
Throughout her life, she was a source of strength and guidance within her family and quietly extended help to those facing hardship.
After her passing, families reached out to share how she had supported them over the years — often without recognition and without expectation.
Those conversations made one thing clear: her legacy of service was not meant to end.
This foundation was created by her family as a ṣadaqah jāriyah in her name — a continuous charity intended to benefit both her and the community.
We strive to continue this work sincerely, for the sake of Allah, and to uphold a legacy rooted in faith, responsibility, and service.
